The Tour
A Stage event over Memorial Day weekend? You bet! Race each of day of the holiday weekend and see if you can earn special awards and payouts - $640 total purse in addition to what you can earn from each individual race (see Awards Schedule).
Rules: You must compete in and complete each of the three events (TT, Road Race, Criterium)
Prize Money: $640 in total awards (see Awards Schedule).
Standings: Your position in the Tour results are based on the following scale of points. High value wins. You earn points when you race race each event:

The Time Trial
We've taken the time trial from last year and made it longer - 32K!! Race just this one event or sign up for the Tour and do all three! A scenic course through the heart of the Northern Kettle Moraine Forest area.
Rules: You must indicate your preference of start time when registering. You MUST report tot the start line in time to begin riding at that time slot. Late riders will be moved back to the next open spot or to the end of the line.
Awards & Prize Money: $420 total awards (see Awards Schedule). Medals to top three in each category
Standings: Earn points toward your Tour victory! See above.
Location: Wade House Historic Site, Greenbush, WI.
Date/Time: Saturday, May 26th, 2012. First sendoff 8:30am, then by 1 minute intervals
The Road Race
NEW for this year! Road racing returns to the Great Midwest Festival!! A flat and fast 21 mile looped course through Manitowoc County.
Rules: You will race with your Category group. Rider falling off and losing contact with the main group will be withdrawn from the race.

The Criterium
NEW for this year! Criterium racing returns to the Great Midwest Festival. Enjoy racing on the beautuful campus of Lakeshore Technical College. Quick straightaways combined with some tactical turns will make for a great race.
